Mahmud Remhi (Meclis Genel Sekreteri)

Remhi, who was born in 1963, graduated from Faculty of Medical Science in Rome/Italy. Between the years of 1990-92, he worked as a politician for Hamas. In 1993, he was arrested by Israel and captured in prison for 28 months. For some time he stayed away from the politics. After the elections of January in 2006, he was elected to the position of Secretariat General which is one of the most important positions in the assembly. In 2006 he was arrested and sent to prison.
