Omar Abdurrazik (Minister of Finance)

He was born in 1958 in Salfit district. He completed his economics PhD in Iowa University. Before he was arrested, he had been a professor of economics in Nacah University. The minister has lots of articles and books and many awards in the field of economics. He was taken into custody as executive detainee by Israel. (Under the system Israel calls as “executive detainee", detainees may be under arrest for months and the duration of the arrestment may be extended in sixth months.)
